The OSC is proud to help districts strengthen school bus safety by providing affordable, high-quality training and practical tools that support daily operations. Our safety training offerings address critical areas, including emergency procedures, student behavior management, driver training, and pre-trip inspections, ensuring transportation teams are well prepared for the demands of the job. Safety is also a central theme of OSC’s collaborative transportation and safety network meetings, where districts come together to share best practices and work through common challenges.

In addition, OSC connects member districts with grant opportunities and a wide network of vetted transportation safety vendors. These partnerships give districts access to a range of services, including routing and communication tools, parent notification systems, GPS and attendance technologies, preventative maintenance solutions, and emerging resources such as diagnostic apps and interactive maintenance guides.
