Strengthen School Cybersecurity this Winter with OSC

The OSC delivers affordable, expert Cybersecurity Assessments and Cybersecurity Planning services led by OSC Safety Consultant Tom Gerber to help school districts protect networks, systems, and sensitive student and staff data. We also provide comprehensive cybersecurity checklists to support districts in implementing best practices and meeting compliance requirements.
Our Cybersecurity Assessments identify potential weaknesses across district technology, policies, and practices, providing clear, actionable recommendations to reduce risk and improve protection. OSC also supports districts in developing and updating Cybersecurity Plans, ensuring clear procedures for prevention, response, and recovery from cyber incidents. Under last year’s budget bill, districts are required to have cybersecurity plans in place by July 2026.
January is an ideal time to evaluate current cybersecurity measures, address gaps identified during the first half of the school year, and establish or refine plans for the remainder of the year.
