Computer Technician

With direction from our Technology Committee, Ohio Schools Council has entered into an Agreement with BPI Information Systems to offer computer and operating systems/server support at unbelievably low rates.  BPI is currently serving many OSC districts and offers design, configuration, maintenance and warranty support for various manufacturers of desktops, laptops, printers, servers, switches, routers and wireless access points.  BPI supports Microsoft, Novell, VMware, Citrix and Cisco operating systems.  BPI also has warranty authorizations for HP/Compaq and IBM servers with the ability to provide service for non-warranty servers such as Dell, Gateway, etc. 

The OSC program offers two levels of service: 

Engineers who perform network services at $83.50* per hour; and

Technicians who provide computer repair at $68.50* per hour

(*during standard business hours).  Travel time is based on distance from their Brecksville office, with most nearby counties billed at one-half hour of the service type being performed.  

Districts will purchase their blocks of time from OSC, who has pre-purchased 500 hours of time from BPI.  The block time has no expiration.  OSC membership is required to participate in this program.
