Waste and Recycling has been a very successful program for the Council and has secured savings estimating 45.5% for these services. The Council secures a three-year service award with a vendor for compacted and non-compacted waste removal and recycling. Appropriate-sized containers are provided by the vendor for each location and picked up at times designated by the district.

The Ohio Schools Council's Waste and Recycling Program received bids and awarded a three-year contract to Waste Management of Ohio and Republic Services by county effective July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2012.
