NSF Collection
The Ohio Schools Council is proud to announce the a program for collection of NSF checks at no cost to our members.
The Ohio Schools Council performed an RFP process and as a result, has selected eCollect, LLC as the Preferred Vendor. eCollect has been in business for twelve years and has over 500 customers, 90+ of which are Ohio school districts, educational service centers and career centers.
eCollect provided clients with four distinct benefits. First, eCollect reduces administrative expenses and clerical hours; this allows administrative staff to move on to more productive and desirable work. Second, they collect a higher percentage of returned checks than clients can when they attempt collection on their own. Third, eCollect accelerates client's cash flow by collecting checks faster than they are able to which reduces their accounts receivable balances. Lastly, eCollect provides a comfortable way for consumers to settle a debt. Typically bad checks are written on accident, their electronic recovery process protects the client's reputation in the eyes of the check writer by handling the matter comfortably.
eCollect has a 95% redeposit rate on open accounts. In addition, if eCollect is unsuccessful in collecting the funds themselves through redeposit, they offer 3 different options for collection.
eCollect does not charge any fees for its services. There are no sign up fees, no annual fees and no minimum number of checks to process.
Through our RFP process, we were successful in negotiating a special redeposit rebate for OSC members. All OSC members using eCollect will receive 100$ of their check amount, 100% of any bank fees they incurred and could be eligible for additional funds based on these fees.
